Adams confirmed that discussions with shortlisted candidates are almost complete, with only a few engagements left before a final decision is taken.

“Hopefully, if by this weekend we don’t announce the coach, latest by Monday[April 13, 2026], we should be able to announce our new coach. We’ve come very far. They still have just a few more to talk to,” he said on Channel One TV.

“Between Friday and Monday, we should be able to let you know.”

The search for a new coach follows the departure of Otto Addo, leaving the Black Stars without technical leadership at a crucial time.

Several experienced names, including Carlos Queiroz, Paulo Bento and Fernando Santos, have been linked with the role.
