Dramani calls for improved decision-making after Hearts of Oak edge Nations

Didi Dramani has called for sharper decision-making from his players despite Hearts of Oak’s 1-0 win over Nations FC in the Ghana Premier League.

Hearts secured victory at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex through an early goal from Mawuli Wayo, who capitalised on a precise pass from Hussein in the 11th minute. The Phobians controlled large spells of the game but had to remain disciplined to protect their narrow lead.

Nations responded with urgency after going behind, pushing forward in search of an equaliser. However, Hearts’ defensive organisation limited clear chances, ensuring the visitors held on for all three points.

Speaking after the match, Dramani acknowledged his side met expectations tactically but stressed the need for improvement in key moments.

“The boys did exactly what we expected in the game, but there’s still a lot of work to do in terms of decision-making and dealing with the right moments,” he said.

He added that the encounter was always expected to be difficult, given Nations’ position near the relegation zone and their need for points.

The result boosts Hearts’ position in the top three as they continue their push toward the end of the season, while Nations remain under pressure in their battle for survival.
