The Ghana Football Association (GFA) and members of the wider football community gathered on Wednesday to pay their last respects to the late Dominic Frimpong.
Frimpong, who played for Aduana FC, lost his life earlier this month during an armed robbery attack involving the team bus of Berekum Chelsea FC.

The incident occurred as Berekum Chelsea were returning to Berekum following a Ghana Premier League fixture against FC Samartex 1996.
Armed men reportedly attacked the team bus, leading to the fatal outcome that shocked the entire football fraternity.
Final funeral rites for the footballer held at Assin Dansame in the Central Region drew a large turnout of football officials, traditional leaders, and sympathisers.

During the ceremony, significant financial support was extended to Frimpong’s family. Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyemang Badu II, the Dormaahene, donated GH₵100,000, while the Ghana Football Association contributed GH₵10,000.
The combined donation of GH₵110,000 was presented to assist with the funeral and provide support to the bereaved family.
