The Paramount Chief of Dormaa Traditional Area, Osagyefo Agyemang Badu II, has donated GH¢100,000 to the family of late Berekum Chelsea forward Dominic Frimpong, who was killed in an armed robbery attack on the club’s team bus.

The generous donation was announced on Wednesday, April 29, during funeral rites for the young striker at Assin Dansame in the Central Region. The gesture has been widely praised as a significant show of support for the grieving family.
Frimpong, 20, lost his life on April 12, 2026, when the Berekum Chelsea bus was ambushed by armed robbers on a road in the Nyinahin district of the Ashanti Region. He sustained fatal gunshot wounds and died at the Bibiani Government Hospital.
