Senegal has announced a 26-men squad for the 2026 World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico. It is the fourth time that the Teranga Lions will participate in the World Cup, with their best outing in their debut in 2002 where they reached the quarterfinals.

Head coach and former player Pape Thiaw announced the full squad on Thursday, in a viral video on social media. Notable names in the squad including captain Kalidou Koulibaly and Sadio Mane, who recently won the Saudi Pro League with Al Nassr. Idrissa Gana Gueye, who is Senegal’s all-time most capped player with 131, and former goalkeeper Édouard Mendy are also in the list.
The Teranga Lions will kick start their tournament on June 16 when they face France in East Rutherford, New Jersey. After that, they will face Norway on June 22 and Iraq on June 26 in the group stages.
