New Ghana head coach Carlos Queiroz has expressed a strong belief in the Black Stars’ chances of competing at the highest level ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The experienced Portuguese tactician, who recently took charge of the Black Stars, believes Ghana possesses enough talent to challenge any opponent if the team plays with cohesion and discipline.

“If we play as a team, as one Ghana, we can beat any opponent,” Queiroz said at his official unveiling on Thursday, April 23.
He further emphasised his confidence in the quality available within the Black Stars, stressing that Ghana has the raw talent needed to build a strong and competitive team for the global stage.
“Ghana has the talent. I am confident we can assemble a good team, a great team for the World Cup,” he added.
At the press conference, the coach disclosed that he plans to give a fair chance to all Ghanaian players. However, he stressed that players who will make it into his squad will be players with good character, high fitness, and who perform at the top level.
