Michael Olise remains a key player for Bayern Munich. Since joining the club in 2024, Olise has made 43 goal contributions (16 goals and 27 assists) across all competitions. However, there are rumours that he could face competition for his position as Bayern plans to sign Liverpool forward, Mohamed Salah this summer.
According to Sports Illustrated, the Bundesliga giants have denied the rumours. Bayern’s board member for sport, Max Eberl, made the clarification on Arabic sports news outlet winwin.
“No, Mohamed Salah has not received any offer from Bayern Munich,” Eberl said.

Salah, who turns 34 this June, will leave Anfield at the end of the season. The Egyptian superstar reached an agreement with the Reds to cancel the two-year contract after just one season. Joining Bayern could have seen Salah reunite with close friend and former Liverpool teammate Luis Díaz, who left Anfield last summer and is now having a phenomenal season at Allianz Arena.
Paris Saint-Germaine and Barcelona may be other options for Salah. However, Luis Enrique’s PSG has since moved on from signing high profile players, preferring to nurture teambuilding. Barcelona may be interested but salary issues may restrict the Spanish side from making any move. Salah’s options as a free agent is mostly outside Europe, where he could move to Saudi Arabia Pro League or the MLS in the United States.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are reportedly keeping an eye on Olise as a potential replacement for Salah at Anfield. But the Reds have not made a definite move yet, preferring to keep their options open for this summer’s transfer window. Known for his creativity and logic on the wings, could be the perfect choice. But it remains unlikely that Bayern are willing to let him go.
