Barcelona legend Lionel Messi has shared an emotional message to congratulate his former club for winning the La Liga title for the second time in a row. Barca defeated arch-rivals Real Madrid 2-0 on Sunday night’s El Clasico game to clinch the title.
Messi was among the first to react as the Blaugrana dismantled Los Blancos at the Spotify Camp Nou to move 14 points clear at the summit of the La Liga table. The Argentine star took to his Instagram story to post a photo depicting his former team as the Spanish league champions.
“Campeones!!! Visca el Barca!!! (Long live Barca)” the now viral post reads.
