Michael Apkovie Olise was born on December 12, 2001 in  White City, Greater London, England. He was raised in Hayes, Greater London, to a British-Nigerian father and Franco-Algerian mother.

Club career

At the age of six, Olise joined  Hayes and Yeading before he left for Chelsea Academy. He spent a total of 14 years at Chelsea and Arsenal Acedemies before joining Manchester City as a youth player. However, Olise began officially began a professional career at Reading where he made his debut in March 2019. He signed a three-year professional contract with the club, where he found his breakthrough. Olise finished the the 2020/21 season as the winner of the EFL Young Player of the Season award.

On July 8, 2021, Olise signed a five-year contract at Premier League side, Crystal Palace. He scored his first Premier League goal in the club’s 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur, and became Palace’s youngest Premier League scorer since Clinton Morrison in 1998. Olise also became the youngest player to assist three goals from open play in a single Premier League match in a 5–1 victory against Leeds United on April 9, 2023. However, he is best remembered for scoring a stunning freekick against Manchester United.

On July 7, 2024, Olise joined Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich on a five-year deal worth €60m including add-ons. This marked highest step in his career, allowing him to compete at Bundesliga and Champions League. He quickly rose to become an important attacking player for the club and  netted 17 goals and laid on 21 assists in his debut campaign. He already has 38 goal contributions ( 15 goals and 23 assists) so far in the 2025-26 season.

International career
