PUMA have released the official match ball to kick off the the 2026-27 Premier League campaign on August 22nd, 2026. Dubbed PUMA STELLAR NITRo ULTIMATE, PUMA revealed this was the most technically advanced ball the brand has ever produced for the English topflight.
According to a report from the Premier League website, the new PUMA match ball “carries a distinctive visual identity, with pink, teal, blue and deep purple graphics set against a white base.” Made with a 4+4 panel construction which balances airflow and reduces drag, the ball makes touches, passes, and strikes more responsive than ever before.
The ball also has a rougher, debossed outer surface which is designed to maintain speed and stability as it moves through the air. It also features bold graphic panels in pink, teal, blue, and deep purple that sweep across a clean white base. This ball was designed to stand out on the pitch during the Premier League games.
The STELLAR NITRO ULTIMATE is already the official match ball of La Liga and Serie A, and now marks PUMA’s second season as the official ball supplier for the Premier League. It will make its first on-pitch appearance during Premier League pre-season fixtures ahead of the 2026-27 season.
