The 25-year-old’s new contract also include an optional one-year extension. According to The Athletic, the new agreement was facilitated by o world-renowned super agent Pimenta, who also manages Foden’s teammate Erling Haaland. The Brazilian oversaw all negotiations to ensure Foden’s contributions are reflected in his new terms.

Foden began his football journey at City’s Academy and rose through the ranks to become a regular feature in the senior team. The England international has won six Premier League titles, the Champions League, two FA Cups and five Carabao Cup since joining the senior team at the age of 17.

Foden enjoyed his career-best season in 2023/24, winning Premier League Player of the Season and PFA Players’ Player of the Year. However, he has struggled to replicate that form this season, only registering 10 goals and five assists in 46 appearances in all competitions for City this season. His recent form has cost him his place as a regular starter in Pep Guardiola’s side, with his last City goal in December 2025.
