Barca moved 14 points clear at the La Liga table with only three games left to play, ensuring the second-placed Madrid cannot catch up in the title race.
Vini Jr, who was reportedly targeted by the home fans during the game, opted for a non-verbal response to the provocation. The Brazilian stood directly in front of the stands and a “one” gesture with one hand and a “five” with the other, referencing the wide gap of continental successes between the two Spanish giants.
Real Madrid boast of 15 Champions League, while Barcelona have only five.
For Vini Jr, Barcelona can go on and celebrate winning the La Liga, but it does not take away the fact that Real Madrid remain the kings of Europe.
