Kylian Mbappe and Antonio Rudiger involved in training ground brawl

Real Madrid have reportedly suffered an internal crisis involving superstars Kylian Mbappe and Antonio Rudiger. In April, there was a report about both players getting into a heated argument at the club’s training ground. The Athletic would later reveal that Rudiger instigated the confrontation, which further racked the squad that was still recovering from Champions League exit.

Rudiger reportedly later apologised and attempted to mend fences by inviting the squad and their families to a team lunch. The Germany international has not faced any formal internal punishment. However, the incident remains a significant talking point as the club prepare to face Barcelona in a highly anticipated El Classico on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Mbappe reportedly clashed with a member of Alvaro Arbeloa’s coaching team. The Frenchman allegedly reacted furiously after the staff member, who acted as an assistant referee during training, flagged him for offside.

The incident adds to reports of a possible breakdown between Mbappe, and the coaching staff. The former Paris Saint-Germaine superstar will likely be unavailable for El Classico as he continues to recover from a hamstring injury in Italy.
